Stephen Lang founder and Engineer at Design and Technical Solutions Limited has in excess of forty years experience in mechanical engineering design. Having completed a traditional toolmaking apprenticeship, in his early twenties he entered the field of mechanical engineering design. It was within design that he discovered a flair for creativity and innovation, rapidly rising to senior technical roles in aerospace, medical device and cost conscious commercial industries.
His designs have won numerous awards. Stephen was mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic design engineer as well as project champion for these aspects on the prosthetic limb that in 2016 won Britain's most prestigious design accolade, The Royal Academy of Engineering's McRobert Award.
